AI receptionist for electricians

You can't answer the phone with your hands in a panel. Chipmo AI takes the call, asks the right questions about the problem, and books the visit. It is designed to send burning smells, sparking outlets or a partial power loss to you or your backup right away, and callers are told what to do to stay safe while they wait. If anyone may be in danger, callers are told to call 911.

Where electrical calls slip away

  • Safety comes first on the job. When you're working live or up on a ladder, the phone has to wait. The caller usually won't.
  • "A few outlets stopped working" means a lot of things. Without the right questions, you don't know if it's a tripped GFCI or something you need to see today.
  • Estimates pile up. Panel upgrades, EV chargers and remodel wiring all need a site visit, and the follow-up calls fall through the cracks.
  • After-hours calls are mixed. Some are true hazards, most can wait until morning, and you can't tell which from a voicemail.
  • Getting paid takes chasing. Small service invoices sit unpaid because nobody has time to send a polite reminder.

What your callers hear

A caller says…

"Half the outlets in my living room went dead but the breaker looks fine."

Chipmo AI…

Asks the questions you approved (any GFCI outlets, any burning smell, any recent work), writes it all down, and books a service call in your next open slot.

A caller says…

"There's a burning smell coming from an outlet in the bedroom."

Chipmo AI…

Treats it as urgent, reads your approved safety script to the caller, and is designed to send the call to you or your backup right away. If there's smoke or fire, the caller is told to get out and call 911 first.

A caller says…

"We just bought an electric car. Can you install a charger in the garage?"

Chipmo AI…

Collects the panel location and garage details (and, once texting is switched on, photos by text if the caller agrees), then flags it to you as an estimate so you can price it properly.

Urgent electrical calls go to a person

A burning smell, sparking or hot outlets, a partial power loss, or downed lines are handled by a setup that is designed to send urgent calls to you or your backup right away; if anyone may be in danger, callers are told to call 911. For downed lines, callers are told to stay clear and call the utility or 911 first. The safety instructions callers hear come from a script you approve during setup. How urgent calls work

Simple jobs and complex jobs

You decide where the line is. Here's an example of how an electrical contractor might set it up:

Simple: quote your range, then book

  • Outlet or switch replacement: $X–$Y
  • Light fixture swap: $X–$Y
  • GFCI outlet install: $X–$Y
  • Service call diagnostic fee: $X–$Y

Complex: flag to you

  • Panel upgrades
  • EV charger installs
  • New circuits or remodel wiring
  • Generator hookups

Illustrative only. You set the real job types and price ranges in writing before anything goes live.

Electrical questions

Will Chipmo AI give electrical advice to callers?
No. It doesn't diagnose or tell callers to do electrical work. It only reads the safety steps from a script you approve, like staying away from a sparking outlet, then routes urgent calls to you and books everything else for a visit.
Can it book estimates for panel upgrades and EV chargers?
Yes. It collects the details you'd want, such as panel size and location (and, once texting is switched on, photos by text when the caller agrees), and books an estimate visit or flags the job to you. It won't quote complex work unless you've approved a price for it in writing.
Can it remind customers about unpaid invoices?
Once texting is switched on, it will be able to send polite reminders about open invoices, in words you approve and only during allowed hours. It isn't a collection agency and never threatens anyone. If a customer disputes a bill, that conversation stays with you.
